‘E la nave va’ is a hand knotted, plush rug made from plant dyed sheepwool.
Its sensuous pattern is based on a painting by Gabrielė Adomaitytė (Untitled (Scale), 2017) depicting a ship, and a water level measuring scale. The image is taken and inspired by an illustration from the artist's personal collection of prints and then distorted to only allow colour and line drawings to take part. Gabrielė is an Amsterdam-based artist and designer. This item was crafted by Zakaria Rugs, founded by Philip Rosenberger.
