They can also be used for aquascaping your tank or creating a more natural look by releasing natural tannins. These leaves also tend to decompose a bit slower than Indian Almond Leaves. Especially popular for shrimp, these are great for many freshwater fish aquariums and tadpoles as well! Blackwater is softer and has a lower pH, which can be great for certain fish species and to induce breeding.
